"White Student Union" Controversy at Towson University

Matthew Heimbach wants to start a group at Towson University specifically for white students. "We essentially want to replicate what every student union does on campus," Heimbach, a senior at Towson, told the student newspaper. They may be fronts but there is a legitimate intellectual argument to be made. Restricting their freedom of speech is not the answer. Addressing the issue in an enlightened manner will prevent the human tendency to push back---like when you restrict a kid from doing something without a rational explanation, it makes a kid want to do whatever it is even more.

first-- this guy is not a kid. He should know better and find a more productive use of his time.

And then, how much more explaining do we need that minority and/or oppressed groups are always allowed more leeway? When white men become the minority and become powerless, then we can organize like crazy against whoever took over. Right now the protest is from the fear and loathing of losing power, which is not the same thing.

10. Diversity 101

We call it Diversity Training not Intolerance Training.

How about Towson University teaching some reality training about our melting pot society where we are a country of many cultures and religions. Many of our grandparents came here from many different countries.


Actually we humans came here after the Big Bang and the Universe Began.


So instead of alienation lets have a whole lot of COOPERATION and learning about each other.


I thought we had to use our brains in Colleges and Universities.
