1. Nixon wasn't president in 1968. He ran on "law and order," blaming the violence and unrest on

all the usual suspects: Democrats, the civil rights movement, anti-American Vietnam war protestors, while stoking voters' fears of angry blacks, hippies, communists, drugs, rock and roll and the permissive '60s counter-culture.

Trump has been president for nearly four years now. Voters will blame him for just about everything they see going wrong today: the pandemic, economic devastation, incompetence, corruption, societal breakdown, racial injustice and division. Biden can compare and contrast Trump's carnage with the relative peace and prosperity of the Obama-Biden years.
