(205,857 posts)Hanging in there, how about you? I'm actually a nervous wreck with wave after wave of bad news, but at least thanks to DU, I'm among the informed!
I am particularly bummed that the late night comedy shows are understandably going on hiatus since the reason I started posting them close to 3 years back was because I figured we could use the humor. And if we ever needed some humor with our news to lighten the load, that time is now!
Hang in there, my friend! At least we have each other and now more than ever I am grateful for this community!

(8,291 posts)Hanging low. Been self quarantining myself. Saturday was 11 days and it looked like lockdown decisions were going to be made so had dinner out with hubby. Ive been home since.
Switzerland is locking down at midnight tonight.
Grocery stores, gas stations, banks and post office open.
Food delivery allowed.
Absolutely nothing else.
Been doing spring cleaning in the yard. Will mow soon.
My life hasnt changed but hubby is getting nervous.
Retirement accounts are getting hit hard. Job security is non existent.
Hold on, its going to be different. Stay safe my friend.

(205,857 posts)I stopped at the store on the way home and it was pretty surreal, there were more panicked shoppers with overflowing shopping carts and bare shelves, no cleaning supplies or loaves of bread. The check out guy told me some weird things he's seen, someone buying more milk than any family could use and someone buying up most of the Pepsi in the store. These are weird times and pretty scary. Glad to hear you're staying safe!

(205,857 posts)And watching it again, I was impressed by the scope and accuracy of the information that John Oliver presented. Everyone needs to see this, it should actually be shown instead of the rambling "press conferences" that Trump insists on having. Rachel Maddow was right.
