(6,045 posts)Bernie's message is depressing & NON-STOP COMPLAINING!!! ...Bernie & especially no one in his campaign has any want to reach out & expand their 30-35%!?!? I've never seen such a rigid campaign unwilling to open up just a little but instead blame others for their failures!
...Oh well. If they were to win the counterfeit tickets Bernie is selling to Disney World & the NO COMPROMISE attitude will set back the Progress Agenda decades!

(8,918 posts)so I don't believe this was meant for Bernie.
But it would be better to accept his help, if offered, then to decline it.
Just my opinion.

But Dump Trump has the brevity and the rhyme. That's marketing gold.

(28,946 posts)How is this going to convince someone who is on the fence? "Clever?" Sorry, I just don't see this impacting anyone who needs a bit of convincing.

(153 posts)..is fragile. I think Mike is hoping to push trump into a full blown public toddler-tantrum-freakout-hissy fit. That would have a huge impact.
TwilightZone
(25,471 posts)Trump is. I thought that was pretty obvious.
There's plenty of time for policy ads. What he's doing now is the same thing that Trump does to everyone else. He's poking him, looking for a reaction.
If Trump gets obsessed about Bloomberg (already there), he'll spend less time attacking our candidates who are still in the race. Takes the heat off and puts Trump on the defensive.

(5,174 posts)They used to cart around the People rag, Enquirer, NY Post.
Now its non-stop chat text twitter anything that holds attention for 5 to 7 seconds.
This type ad will reach that crowd. Believe me, there are more than you can possibly imagine.
This ad is actually well produced and effective for those who thrive on short relationships.
I am grateful for Bloomberg's money and its a shame that politics depends on millions of bucks for these info commercial spots,
inspiration for a short mind-span.
Yes, I know hundreds, thousands of people with short mind-spans.
this will help get the message out.
**on edit: and hell yeah, it will blow the blob's short-span mind. Perfect, just perfect.

(220 posts)That type of attack ad against Trump will not win the Dems any votes. It was more like a anti-endorsement ad and endorsements don't usually work.
Bloomberg needs to make direct attacks on Trump using Trumps own words in his tweets or WH Lawn press conferences using the most racist, and stupid, and obvious lies. Some short text like "We don't have to have a President who embarrasses us".
Those ads would be hard to do simply because there are thousands of short clips that show what a asshole and how stupid Trump is. It would only be hard to do because there are so many to choose from.

(5,020 posts)We don't need a President who is a failure - and different ads focusing on campaign promises. Manufacturing plants that have closed since Trump was elected. People who've list their health insurance. How many time Trump has played golf.
Bloomsburg should demoralize Trump voters the way the RNC tries to demoralize Dems. If you can't change their minds, convince them not to vote.
yaesu
(8,020 posts)so he is doing what he promised & we must not forget the positive influence he will have on this election.
DENVERPOPS
(8,835 posts)should be hammering Trump, but equally obsessed with Republican Senators. Trump's power is completely dependent upon the Corrupted Republican Senate. With out the Senate, Trump wouldn't have lasted a second after the inauguration.......
Without Trump, they just install another asshole......Without the Republican controlled Senate the Republican Party is obliterated.....
They know this and we should be prepared for anything and everything they will do to keep them both, guaranteeing, once and for all time a Tyrannical Fascist Government. By and for the Corporations...........

(21,487 posts)and his dependence on corrupt R's in Congress would drive home factual info for fence sitters.
But this ad does more than attack or unnerve Trump. It has a "cool" emotional appeal for people who like that sort of thing. In 2016, Trumpists thought it was "cool" to repeat, "Build that wall." Now it's cool and catchy to repeat "Dump Trump."
Ya gotta reach 'em where they're at, in their own language.
