I learned about this from my Japanese classes... saw the film, though I am a bit confused and thought Hachiko's owner was also Japanese. I may have to google this...

that Hachiko's owner was Japanese, but the kink in that is that the true story took place in Japan. I think.

at the train station so that passengers can see it every day they come from work and go home. I don't recall the Train station name or what stop it was, but it was some where in Tokyo.
