(6,240 posts)the Democrats turn nasty.
I understand why they're staying professional and polite, but at this point they need to get nasty.
Of course, then the other side will whine and complain about how nasty the Democrats are.

(18,837 posts)"Private Citizen Trump" does not want to face what's waiting for him at the end of his first, and only term.
We've witnessed what McConnell's pulled off during the Senate trial this week. NO, he DOES NOT want "President Pence." Trump is his useful idiot. He gets 100% of what he wants with Trump. With Pence, he might still get 95% but he's not going to give up that 5%. He'd rather have a slob who watches TV, tweets, and plays golf at the helm. Trump never says "no" to McConnell. Pence might.
I don't know if Trump will participates in debates or not. If he does, expect his treatment of HRC to return, on steroids.
He needs to be hit hard on all fronts. No holding back. Put every bit of his dirty laundry in the campaign ads, and if he does show up at the debates, don't allow him to turn it into his personal reality show. If he's met with force he'll lose his shit and that will ONLY play to the MAGAts.

(23,677 posts)just remember if we win back the presidency this year, Mr Wilson will be using all those nasty tools against our nominee in the 2024 election. So we keep him close now, but remember he has claws.

(2,042 posts)I kind of agree with that. Then again, his status as the nation's pre-eminent GOP trump basher has been lucrative for him as well.
