Giants: Who Really Rules The World?

Unlike the various conspiracy theories about the TPB and the MIC, (which can get way out there and miss what's important here) this talk is about a well researched book on the state of global wealth and its control. I strongly feel that, as disappointing and even discouraging as this information can seem to be, just knowing more about the facts is a start when it comes to any response or action concerning it.

The right knowledge can have a cumulative effect and it is very crucial that more people are on the same frequency as a means to consolidate our collective capacities in a time when the seeds of division are constantly sown and we are exploited by our differences in order to avoid the waking of the sleeping giant that we represent, all total.

What is really astounding is how much is in the hands of so few and that, even with that, they demand a return on their investment even with enormous assets. The next, logical step is to buy and own the entire world, (that would have sounded like the ravings of a madman not long ago) and rent it to the rest of us while increasing the number of "transactions" (Neo-liberalism) exponentially. That has already begun and will continue if nothing stops it. A world of rentiers and their tenants living as Serfs in a sharecropper-style World.

My humorous way to put it is that immortal cyborg trillionaires will legally hunt the rest of us for sport someday. Oh, you thought it was just going to be endangered species? Well, guess who is next on the list? That's just practice.

I find Abby Martin to be a good and reliable source of information about these important subjects.

Abby Martin sits down with Peter Phillips, former director of Project Censored and professor of Political Sociology at Sonoma State University. His new book “Giants: The Global Power Elite” details the 17 transnational investment firms which control over $50 trillion in wealth—and how they are kept in power by their activists, facilitators and protectors.
