...essentially "We sent ONE COPY of the book to the White House and we don't know what happened after that. The NYT DID NOT get a copy from us."

...he worked there. He has up close and personal experience with the amount of info leaked by Trump's own staffers. So now there will be a mad scramble to try to find out who actually had access to that lone copy.
