(4,341 posts)I agree in some way that many people didn't know, in part thanks to the media that was very complicit in elevating him to heights he does not deserve, and all for the money, but for those who didn't know is just proof of the lack of intellect and high levels of ignorance of USA voters.
Lets face it, if people were informed they would NEVER vote republican.

(131,103 posts)and suggest different news 'vehicles,' somethings that sound reasonable. For some, Wall Street Journal might sound better than WaPo + NYT, and for some, I dunno 'cause I don't watch or listen to others, but ABC, CBS news???

(402 posts)As I understand it, Donald Trump cannot be charged for any crimes while he is President. The statute of limitations will run out on the obstruction charges that Mueller listed against Trump in part 2 of his report. The only way he can avoid being indicted on these charges is to remain President. Anthony Scaramuchi said Trump will resign in March. Now Barbara Res says the same. If Trump wants to avoid obstruction charges, he HAS to remain President for at least 2 years into a second term, (God Forbid). I don't know, but I don't see him resigning.

(41,861 posts)He will be arrested right away and will probably go to prison. Rather go to Prison its more than likely he will fight tooth and nail to stay in office only if it means he will do what ever it takes to stay out of Prison.. His other option is to make a deal with Putin or another one of the other despots to flee the country the moment that the New President is sworn in. He may take his wife and fly to Russia to start his new life there.

(26,319 posts)keep him in office and he will advise him to issue blanket pardons for everyone involved and then resign with Pence giving him a pardon on the way out.
Pence of course like a moron will do so however what Pence forgets is he is facing impeachment and or criminal charges down the road as well for his hand in this and the witnesses will not be able to invoke the 5th amendment as they cannot be charged for what they did after a pardon.
