I know that a lot here don't stay up as late as I do - and some don't have TV - so I make a point of posting the late night political guests and I know that Rachel is a favorite here. David Letterman used to call her "the smartest person in the world," LOL!

I started posting his monologue back in 2017 because I thought we could use the humor here - and also his political guests. He hit it out of the park so far this week with Hillary Clinton and now Rachel - two of the smartest women in the room and both favorites here!

I can't wait to read RM's Blowout. From what I understood on the third segment

Rachel Maddow's new book, "Blowout," explains how the inner workings of the oil industry help explain Russia's role as an international bad actor.

this describes a lot of the evil in the US and world economies.

How she found the time to research this - which she said she had to do - and write this is beyond me. But then David Letterman used to call her "the smartest person in the world!"

And too modest.

I kept thinking at first, shouldn't they have had a foot stool for her? Just knowing that keeping an injury (my knee) elevated helps. Rachel is quite a trooper! I really feel for her on those crutches.

This was great! It was so good to hear from Rachel. She is so interesting and intelligent. I look forward to reading her book once I am done with the pile of books I already have!

Thanks for posting Rhiannon!

I’m glad you posted these as I didn’t get to see Colbert’s show. Rachel’s so kind, she didn’t say anything bad about Hannity when his name was brought up as a competitor, only “I wonder what they eat”.

Wish I had a ticket to meet her on her book tour!!
