Exploring the ramifications of a United Ireland *** Recommended ***

David McWilliams podcast was recorded before Johnson became PM, but that is irrelevant to this. If you want to understand the differences between North and South, listen to this podcast by one of Ireland's leading economists. You will come away much better informed.

BTW, in the rugby community, northerners call us in the South of the Border, Mexicans, and we call them Gringos

over Johnson's plans for Brexit. Similarly NI will have to make a decision. Maybe Geardaddy knows, but there's never been the same desire in Wales. I remember Wales in the 70s and the 80s, where through rugby they were quite nationalistic, and I wouldn't have had the same opinion of the Scots. Subsequently that has reversed, it appears.

But Scotland will never be allowed in the EU. Member states can veto new membership. Spain will see it as a away for Catalonia to join the EU if they leave Spain.

I hope peace and prosperity reign on Ireland, North and South, despite the DUP and Johnson and Farage.
