(31,893 posts)I was 19 when Woodstock happened. To my everlasting regret, I didn't make it there. I had a ride lined up and was set to go, but life intervened in such a way that I had to cancel the trip.
Anyway, I totally agree with you that this is the best Woodstock documentary ever! So much more truly interesting information that I had never heard of before!
Many parts had me in tears - and made me deeply regret, once again, that I wasn't there.

(8,020 posts)I was 10 at the time, oblivious to what was happening hundreds of miles away. I do remember the moon landing, the daily news reports about Vietnam & my fav psychedelic shirt.

(2,472 posts)Old enough to know it was happening without me, too young for there to have been any way my parents would let me go. I seriously thought about just running away and hitchhiking my way from Indiana to New York, but I didn't do it. I still wish I had sometimes.

(8,020 posts)That would be interesting to meet up with him now. The only famous person I have met was Cary Grant, I drove him to a shareholders meeting at a company I once worked for but that was many moons ago.
