Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (HBO) - Boris Johnson (Original Post) Rhiannon12866 Jul 2019 OP
Scary to think that the world is now being run by the Homer Simpsons of it. Initech Jul 2019 #1
One of the good points about this video was that Johnson has more self awareness than Trump does. nt thesquanderer Jul 2019 #4

From this, I'd say Johnson is not Britain's Trump, he's Britain's Andy Kaufman. (n/t) thesquanderer Jul 2019 #3

At least Homer Simpson has more self awareness than Johnson and Trump do.

though could do with less mating foxes at Kent.

The only way Britain and Trump can be used together: leaving Britain Trump is coming over the weekend

But I know better than to question John Oliver, he always manages to put together a brilliant show - and always makes it funny!

Great to see John back again! I have missed him! Great show.

Boris is obviously a buffoon and a disaster, but I still don't think he comes anywhere close to being as dangerous or as horrible as Trump. I would trade any day. Besides, Boris isn't going to last long, but I am beginning to think that Trump will never leave unless he is physically carried out of the White House.

There were times he's been off for so long that I almost forgot that he's on at all! And I have to agree with your assessment, Boris is unpopular and clearly a buffoon, but they can get rid of him anytime! Why don't we have that option??

p.s. Since the late night guys were a live after tonight's debate, I was required to post them in Primaries. I'm afraid that those who usually look forward to them won't know to look there - and since they just made good humored jokes, I imagine they'll sink pretty fast.

Here's Seth, his Closer Look was live tonight:
