Trump Gives Fox News An Excuse To Not Cover Mueller Testimony On July 17th. NC Rally...
Still up to the same old tricks, Trump plans to hold a rally in North Carolina on July 17th, while Mueller is set to testify before the House. Thus giving Fox 'News' an excuse not to do a live feed of Mueller's testimony.
And why not? He pulled this trick once before, and it gave him a decisive victory over Roger Ailes and Fox News.
In 2015 Trump got pissed off at Fox News, and said he wouldn't go to any more Fox debates if Megyn Kelly was there. While I'm sure Roger Ailes wouldn't have thought twice about banning Kelly from the next debate if Trump had asked him in PRIVATE; because Trump's challenge was public, Baron Harkonnen Ailes had to show some spine, and call Trump's bluff. (Can't have ONE candidate telling ME what to do...)
Trump responded by showing Ailes who's boss, and holding an astroturfed rally aboard the USS Iowa during the same time slot as the next Republican debate. Video below (He even set up a FAKE VETERANS CHARITY called The Veterans for a Strong America a few days earlier, for him to donate FAKE MONEY to.) He succeeded in drawing viewers away from the Fox debate, and even forcing Ailes to show Trump's rally at the same on a SPLIT SCREEN while the debate was going on. Ailes never dared to defy Trump again.
Well, he's at it again. This is designed specifically to give Fox News an excuse not to do a live feed of Mueller's testimony; and prevent his solid 35% base from finding out that he still MIGHT HAVE colluded with Russia, and that he DID OBSTRUCT JUSTICE to prevent Mueller from finding the evidence of it.
