Europe Melts Under Heat Wave: PHOTOS & More, Deutsche Welle

A polar bear cools off at the Hanover Zoo in Germany with a frozen sorbet.

France topped its all-time heat record, a wildfire is burning up forests in northeastern Spain, and multiple countries have issued health alerts. How is Europe dealing with this blast of hot weather? MORE, https://www.dw.com/en/europe-melts-under-heat-wave/g-49404849

Especially because very few Europeans have AC or pools to cool off in. I am in hell when it is only in the 80's over here, they must be absolutely miserable. How can you sleep in that weather? How can you work or function? I hope their workplaces are air conditioned.

I would spend my entire day in a cold bath or a body of water. I would not be able to handle it. I hope they will get some relief soon. I really feel for them. What a nightmare!

as it was here (this was in the 90's Continental Europe and early 2000's - England/Ireland). It was pleasant on the continent and cool in the British Isles. The evenings were always cool. There was no need for AC anywhere. Mostly I visited in the fall, so the weather was perfect everywhere.

I really feel terribly for them. They are even less used to these temps than we are and it must be very hard for them. At least most of us have AC, but I can't imagine what it must be like without it. How can you sleep in those temps? It's just brutal!

how much if any leave employees can take now, -- hopefully they're flexible. IDK.
