Of course, tomorrow his guest is Chris Christie, "for balance," apparently - another live show immediately after the debate.

I think it's because he is desperate to have been able to show he was on that show. He has this adoration for the famous and longs to be their buddy so he can be cool too. It shows with Colbert and Springsteen and he probably has that same "thing" about MoFOTUS.

He praised several of the Democratic candidates' debate performances, and who could blame him after Trump threw him to the curb in favor of his beloved Jared - who hates Christie for sending his father to prison. I can't believe that the Trump crime family is still running this country, just caught a glimpse of him on the news hanging out with Putin!

That its dangerous to assume that one of the candidates is the “safe” choice, who will just deliver the election to you. That its more about an overall strategy, That there’s this idea that we have to sacrifice everything, that we can’t talk about working class issues, that we can’t talk about criminal justice issues, that we can’t talk about immigration because it isolates this very small sliver of Obama to Trump voters. and how she thinks that’s a mistake, because if we sacrifice the issues of so many communities, we depress turnout.

This always happens. A fear generated by the conservative wing of the party that we’d better not get too “crazy” with progressive proposals as the election draws near. When in fact, her contention is that the base would be energized more if we stopped being so fearful and that our base would support bold initiatives more than the play it safe approach.
