(95 posts)I think it is purposely not specific about the geophysical or income levels for the "middle class" for a number of reasons, the most obvious being the inclusive fact that when you watch the ad, you know whether you are middle class or not. And you know what you believe is destitute, or poor, or wealthy, or filthy rich.
If the ad said anything about $50-60K, $40-80K, or $30-100k; or not on government assistance; or driving a five or six year old car; or what you buy; or where you live; or.....well, you get my drift.
Being "middle class" means different things to different people, and for many it is more a state of mind than an economic reality.
