4. Two points - and maybe one more

The disbelief has far more to do with Trump than with the aftermath of Iraq

Referring to these other countries as "europe" may lead some Americans to say - "meh, just europe". More signifcantly, these are NATO countries that are refusing to jump in line with the US.

Thirdly, while you may hear some pro-war voices coming from the UKs tories, they are currently in a disastrous situation where amongst other things, they have told the public that America will be the UKs closest ally, saving them from the mess of Brexit.
