I don't have the same moral values as the anti-choice people. I need to say that right from the get-go. But I have never understood how they want to punish doctors while presuming that women who seek abortions are somehow not responsible for their own choices. Even this Texas GOPer has it wrong. He should be stating that, from his point of view, ALL women who choose abortion, for whatever reason, need to be charged with murder, a capital offense. That's the only logical conclusion that can be drawn from their view that a human being is born from conception forward. Indeed, any anti-choice person makes the personal determination of when a zygote or fetus becomes a human, and that an abortion after that "human" event should be considered a murder.

My own view of this is that it's nonsense. In my view, the beginnings of human life have spiritual elements that were part of the moral conversation from centuries ago, but that haven't really changed since. When a collection of cells becomes a human being is simply not known, and the mechanisms of the infusion of a soul (which is what makes a human) into a developing organism are still a mystery. It's not a heartbeat; it's a soul that makes a human being.

But for those anti-choice people, it should be a no-brainer: any abortion of a "human" should be considered murder. Now, if this kind of anti-choice determination were codified into law, it would turn the justice system on its head. But that's the cost that should be paid for any anti-choice law that follows simple, elementary logic.

must submit their DNA samples to their state forensic labs. The DNA data base shall be for the purpose of identifying fathers (who are politicians) and bringing them to justice. For example, what every criminal punishment put on the mothers shall also be put on the fathers.
