I couldn't stop laughing! I didn't know anyone else did the non-dominant hand signing. 
I can't have my own dog, but I would love to get a card from my dog nieces! I'm a sad person, I know. But I love them so much! 
But I have gotten them for numerous family members and - like the previous poster acknowledged - I've signed them with my non dominant (left) hand!
