It looks like the good people of Kentucky may have had enough of McTurtle. Polling at only 33%, trailing even Trump in popularity, maybe being Trump's lackey isn't what the people want and need out of their Majority Leader Senator. He may be able to repair his reputation by finally standing up to the evil ass-wart in chief, but then again maybe the people of Kentucky have had enough with "any way the wind blows" McTurtle. There's little consistency with McTurtle, save being a consistent asshole.

very well by placing numerous judges in a number of federal courts so he is counting on being rewarded once he leaves office with a cushy job at a lobbying firm.

That's what republicans do best, grease the wheels on the track to their new, highly lucrative careers after politics. They don't do so bad taking graft and raping the treasury while they disguise themselves as "public servants" either. To the GOP, it's all about the money, the party, and to hell with everyone and everything else.
