(205,405 posts)I think you mean Rick Wilson, but I sure agree, it was a very agreeable group for a change. And I'm wondering if you also remember watching Mark Wilson - he had a magic show that we loved watching as kids!

(205,405 posts)What was the experience like? Back in 2008, i was fortunate to be in the audience for both David Letterman and Jon Stewart's Daily Show and they were both terrific to their audiences, but it was a very different experience. There was a lot more security for The Daily Show, they even searched my purse, while for David Letterman, we just had to wait in line. And Dave was very gracious, even came out and thanked the audience for coming after the show - and Jon Stewart made a point of giving his notes to a lady who had asked about them. And I agree that Adam Schiff was exceptional, but the whole lineup was a good one tonight.

(205,405 posts)Well, they do have "applause" signs and they sure encourage enthusiasm from the audience, but I appreciated the graciousness of both David Letterman and Jon Stewart when I saw them. They both took audience questions before the show and Letterman came out afterwards and thanked the audience for coming, something he really didn't have to do after 30 years!

(18,634 posts)Since the show is live what you see is what we see except we see the cameras. They all did a little extra discussion for youtube after the show and then Bill did a little speech discouraging wearing animal fur and feathers. I noticed that Claire McCaskill wasn't laughing much at Bill's jokes when she wasn't on camera. The others all did.

(205,405 posts)I have always wondered about that since it seems much more spontaneous and informal - And since they answer audience questions, it's got to be much less scripted. And I know someone who was less than than pleased with Claire McCaskill - they do show those on the panel who are laughing at Bill's New Rules so that's a interesting observation... Thanks!

(3,813 posts)We all need to heed what Maher says about the people left out of the party and prosperity. Adam Schiff was great too, but the "New Rule: Prime Real Estate" segment hit me the hardest.
