I don't watch telly, so posts like this allow me to see what everyone else is watching.

I found it head-swirling that Meghan McCain has the tumerity to talk about anyone else's "authenticity."

What I liked best about Senator Booker's remarks was when he spoke of the "moral vandalism" that the current WH punishes us with every GD day. They are little better than thugs who pray upon the vulnerable.

I hope his message resonates with the country.

16. While I admire the "we go high" idealism, sadly it just won't work anymore

I don't mean losing control in anger, or inventing fake news, or going after them in a personal way.....but for gawds sake we need some damn righteous anger against the attempted coup of democracy! Don't they understand that Democrats are aching for that kind of spine? And IMO, those on the fringes, who we may need to take us over the top, Independents, and small r Republicans will also not respect a turn-the-other-cheek candidate like that.
Being nice and crooning about how both sides are the same will not work. Framing it as we all feel pain, and believing that explaination will galvanize the Trumpists with Democrats into forgetting what Fox News, or Limpballs, or McConnell, or Trump says is pointless, and they read that as weakness, that is all.

I can literally read Meghan's expression, when Booker is talking about this approach, inferring he can reach the same brainwashed Trumpsters by just cooing how he feels their pain. She is quietly thinking.."Okay Cory...keep thinking that, because we're sure not going to follow that same advice". To them its like the evil werewolf who they hear is going to attack them and their children, warnings from the news network and stations they only listen to, (and even take away their guns they need to defend themselves!) And this wolf now smiles into the camera and says how he wants to play nice. It almost makes them even more angry and wary because they just KNOW he's lying! (Because they do it as a matter of reflex all the time)

They will simply take this as...the wolf cannot think of anything to complain about with the Elephants, so he just promises impossible good things he cannot deliver in order to fool them into coming close enough for them to be eaten!
