I wish more of the uneducated would at least watch a couple of Robert Reich's most educational videos.

To clean up and fix the economy after Republican presidents crash it. Kind of like the economic version of Peter, Paul and Mary's "Where Have All the Flowers Gone?" with the poignant refrain, "When will they ever learn?" My God, we have a schizoid political / economic system! It would be nice to see a little sustained sanity and balance that carries through from Democratic presidencies, to Republican ones, and then back again. When will we ever grow up and be responsible for ourselves?

Look at shorting the indices in the 18-36 month range. For the later strike dates, you’ll have to hunt and pay what appears to be a steep premium. But, if you have assets subject to a crash, you have to hedge.
