President Donald Trump Talks Bombs Then Slams Media - The Last Word - MSNBC

President Donald Trump Talks Bombs Then Slams Media | The Last Word | MSNBC

Trump condemned the violence against Democrats but then attacked his critics and the media and scoffed at critics of his own rhetoric. Jonathan Capehart tells Ali Velshi that Trump "is an empathetic void" and Jennifer Rubin calls this a "coordinated attempt at mass assassination."

Saying anything is again just like the rhetoric he used in Charlottesville , saying one thing then doing another, or bait and switch , then renewing support for others to be violent for him, then claiming they're good people. This is what happens when white nationalists are installed by a enemy dictator into office, and into Congress. Their white nationalist party, formerly the gop , have officially gone off the deep end now. People are running from them more every day, no matter how much they promote their falsely made poll numbers they use now. Don't believe them.

It's great to hear our news people speaking out - thought Ali Velshi was especially terrific tonight!

To Don Lemon and Chris Cuomo standing out in the cold because they could not go in the building. They tore Trump a new one.

But strange thing. All those pipe bombs have taken away everyone of Trump talking points. They have emasculated his hateful name calling beccause every one he hates on is now a victim of Trump. He will not be able to perform his hateful name calling.

I keep thinkining of the scene in,” Oh Brother,” where they rode the bigot out of town on a rail.

Instead of immediately condemning it, he only piggybacked on Pence's Tweet! Rachel Maddow summed it up - she said he just doesn't care!

And I would have particularly liked to have heard Don Lemon - our news people are really speaking out on this - which of course could make them even more a target of Trump!

Show he blamed Media, but none of the other name calling as he usually does.

The hand clapping behind him was muted, too.

Don talked about how many were in the building, his co workers and the many who could have been harmed. It was very emotional and they did not mince words about Trump’s lies.

That's the reason his "supporters" show up.

And I have heard Don Lemon speaking out - it's got to be a concern that those in the media who speak out could become targets of these nuts who are inspired by Trump's hate speak. I also remember Katy Tur talking about covering Trump during the campaign. He singled her out in front of the crowd and security had to accompany her when she left.

But I think this has brought Trump to the point where people realize,” the Emporer has no clothes!”

I know I am full of cliches this morning but one more,” Hoisted on this own Petard!”

That's why they go to see him and he knows that, loves basking in their cheers and applause. That's why he does it, the more outrageous, the better. And they egg him on, that's the reason he's continued having these ridiculous rallies. He does that rather than doing the job he claims to have. A normal president would be attending to the business of the nation.

Before he left to go to Al Jazeera. When asked why he went with a struggling station he said because he wanted to report news. He gets that on MSNBC.

And they're certainly putting him front and center - he's not only on his own two shows, but these days he seems to be substituting for everyone!

Ali and Steve Kornacki! They seem to be everywhere.

I was getting used to turning off repetitive Cable, but now find myself glued again.

Not sure I can last another 10,12 days.

And this big news has got to affect votes of those who aren't deluded by him, we can only hope it's a wake-up call for some...

These days, the news is relentless! It's hard to turn away - in case you miss something. But I can only take so much of Trump. During the campaign, I had to change the channel. I was looking forward to never having to see or hear from him again.

And I like Steve Kornacki, too - he's "the numbers guy!" And because of his book, he's making the rounds, appeared on with both Bill Maher and Stephen Colbert!
