5. Why do they always have to go there?

You know, I sort of notice all sorts of things that have to do with race and gender and other incendiary things. White person here, so naturally I think grumpily.

But usually I shrug and let it go. My opinion on whether it's pernicious that "diversity has gone too far" or "everyone is too sensitive" isn't really necessary, so I don't even think it, much less say it out loud.

But for some reason, Megyn Kelly can't just shrug and move on when she hears about a black Santa. She's got to weigh in with her absolute fact that Santa is white. And so is Jesus. And why can't we do blackface on Halloween? Poor little girls, scarred for life because some PC mom won't let her put on blackface for Halloween!

Most of us would just decide this isn't important enough to argue about. But Kelly? Must. Get. Into. It.

Racists just can't quit racism. They just have to keep talking it.

On the tuesday show they had a guest family, the 16 yo daughter having learned her father, a white guy who died when she was 5, was not real father, but she had a black dad, and the girl refused to accept it- she insisted her white parent was real, and her family thought she was racist...she had become like Michael Jackson. ..and was white racism personified.. .but phill etc argued she was insane etc. He self righteously dismissed her, tellibg her to eff off. The goofy woman on nbc gets nailed but the Dr gets to pretend racism is just personal, privately caused!

That girl loves the only father she's ever known. Trying to disabuse her of her love for her father is downright cruel and mean spirited. There are ways of getting her to accept the information which might really be of consequence for health reasons at some point without messing with her feelings towards dad.

Not sure why everyone hates her. We ALL say stupid things. Imagine if you had to speak on tv for hours a day. You think you'd ever say something stupid? Something controversial that put your job at risk. Sure, you would. Almost everyone would.

I don't hate people because of "what" they are. I reserve that for "who" they are, or what they believe. I've not seen her pushing fascism & such. Trump does. McConnell does. Paul Ryan does. Hannity does. Jeanine Pirro does.

Comedian D.L. Hughley didn’t mince words in his sharp rebuke of NBC host Megyn Kelly after she suggested there was nothing wrong with dressing in Blackface for Halloween, so long as it’s all in good fun.

Kelly’s remarks drew immediate backlash Tuesday following a panel discussion on her daytime talk show where she and her guests talked about racial sensitivity in wearing Halloween costumes. The former Fox News anchor acknowledged that a white person dressing in Blackface and vice versa is troublesome but failed to see what is offensive about it.

“Back when I was a kid, that was okay just as long as you were dressing as a character,” she argued. “What is racist?”

Kelly, 47, tried to further defend her point by arguing that Halloween was supposed to be “jarring,” noting that “you have guys running around with fake axes coming out of their head!”


Hughley, who’s gone toe-to-toe with the conservative journalist before, blasted Kelly for her willful ignorance on the subject in a series of tweets Tuesday and Wednesday, writing, “#MegynKelly seems to forget she’s not on #FOX anymore!”

He added, “#MegynKelly asks what’s so wrong with dressing in #BlackFace! It’s cool! Until a Dallas cop shoots you in your own Apartment! #TeamDl.”

Hughley proceeded to school Kelly on why blackface is so problematic, writing sarcastically, “It’s ONLY the mockery of black ppl as slaves & subhuman happy-go-lucky darkies like Jim Crow & Uncle Tom. Of Course last time I saw her, #MarkFurhman was normalizing police brutality b4 she brought me on. #DidntEndWell #TeamDl”

The actor was alluding to a heated 2016 interview with Kelly and disgraced LAPD officer Mark Fuhrman that quickly devolved into chaos. Hughley had appeared on the Fox News show to discuss his new book and the fatal shooting of a Black man, Philando Castile.

and suggest others do as well, asking them to show her the door. She is an allegedly well educated, trained professional who knows full well the impact of the words she elected to use. I do not accept that she simply slipped up, did not understand or her miserable pity me apology. She needs to go and go yesterday.
