Cats should never have a leash attached to their necks - they need a body harness as their necks are fragile. Cats are not dogs.
That cat is probably terrified and is holding the leash like that so its doesn't get its neck broken. This is not something to laugh at. Cat harness are easy to get.

Someone needs to alert its owner.

That cat is probably terrified and is holding the leash like that so its doesn't get its neck broken. Cat harness are easy to get.

No where is the cat on a leash - the human is , that's the joke or humor. And, DU loves cats (for the most part) and even any suggestion about cat abuse is a far reach.

my spouse once tried to put a leash on our cat. After all the blood was cleaned up and the bandages applied . . .

The cat came along because he liked the dog and walking with both of us. I had to have my dog put down last March. The cat absolutely will not accompany the new dog, nor do I try to make him do so. Cats have their own rules....
