1. Grown adults vandalizing the property of other home owners.

Simply to take their political signs away. People have the right to freedom of expression on their own property.

I'd say, put up surveillance cameras, then post the faces of these people ALL OVER TOWN: grocery stores, churches, schools, etc. Rent a billboard and post faces. Shame them for acting like larcenous children.

10. This really is stealing, but it indicates they're desperate

I remember a news story from a previous election in which a Denver couple drove a van around at night stealing Democratic political signs - that is, until the husband ran into a clothesline in the dark and knocked himself out in a driveway. The homeowner found him and the couple was subsequently arrested.

It's also illegal in NC to remove them, iirc. At the very least it's trespassing. Definitely a sad state of affairs.
