(7,142 posts)was that there was a White House press Secretary who lies, and a room full of co-conspirators.
Anyone else think I am wrong, I'm willing to listen?

(130 posts)Yeah, great and all, but...
It's a sitcom.
It ain't real life.
Wonder why the right loves to call us snowflakes? Well, there you have it.
We take the high road, which, yes, is a good thing...the right thing, but...
The best we can muster is to grovel about Sarah on a sitcom? How about a majority of the press crew hijacking a press conference and calling her out, over and over and over again?! Do it until they completely cancel her press conferences, so people remember it was due to the incessant chanting of "LIAR!"
Remember the "You lie!" buttknob at Pres. Obama's State of the Union? See how that rallied THEIR troops? People, we gotta shout it from the rooftops in REAL LIFE, just like the right has done for way too long...F this high road b.s.!
Yes, great to watch Murphy Brown, giggle at the embarrassing situation...just do it IN FRONT of the woman we taxpayers are paying to spew this administration's vile excrement.

I do understand your point. Long long ago I watched a movie called the elephant man, I was asked what I thought about it. I said I didn't like the movie because it gave people a sense of security that there will always be good people out there who care. That's just not true, sometimes "you" have to step up to the plate.
We all need to do our part. I have no problem with "Murphy Brown" giving us a reminder of what is really going on in those sham press conferences. The corporate media helped elect Donald Trump and those who stray from the narrative get fired. The M$M is part of the problem, it will never be the solution unless someone like Tom Steyer were to put his money into a truly progressive cable news network nothing will change with what we have, right wing corporate media.

(28,808 posts)20 years ago. I still remember the day Candace Bergen smiled at me when we passed in the hall. I am a fan. If you never did I recommend reading her autobiography; it's a bit dated by now, but it was a very good read.
Will hulu have her show i wonder.

(21,718 posts)I can't imagine that she would have been part of that, especially when Murphy asked why she lied.
