We all know that Senator Jim 'Snowball' Inhofe has the intelligence of a banana slug, and the morals of a dog trying to hump a skunk. But he really sunk to a new low when he said McCain is "partly to blame" for Trump's childish behavior in refusing to honor McCain.
Let's get it straight once and for all. No matter what you think of McCain, there was one character flaw that everybody agrees he NEVER had. And that's petty vindictiveness. Trump oozes petty, childish vindictiveness from every pore, but McCain never had an atom of it. He forgave the people who tortured him in a prison camp for 5.5 years. And he actually forgave the asswipes working for George Bush (..cough..ROVE..cough) who shot down his Presidential bid in South Carolina with a phony push poll claiming he'd fathered an illegitimate child with a black woman. That one slimed both McCain AND one of his kids. And yet, he managed to rise above that, and not only support Bush as President, but also ask him to deliver his eulogy.
Say what you want about McCain, but he was NEVER vindictive or petty.
This advice that he gave to Steve Doocy's evil brat Peter (all dressed up in his Gym Jordan-style Hitler youth costume), would be advice TRUMP should definitely take. You have a responsibility to carry out the duties of the office you were elected to. Petty personal issues have no place in it.

(12,600 posts)He said that he had worked for McCain in the past (whatever that means), but that Trump was right in following the letter of the law by raising the Flag after only 36 hours at half-staff. When the host reminded him of long held traditions concerning such matters, he defended Donnie Two Scoops' actions by saying the law takes precedence over tradition.
And besides, he added, McCain only voted with Trump 86% of the time, so there.
These guys are buffoons when it comes to supporting their Beloved Cult Leader.
