Related: About this forumTYT: Cenk interviews Dinesh D'Souza
Cenk challenges Dinesh DSouzas claims that President Obama is reducing the influence of the United States worldwide and purposefully saddling the country with debt. You cant say that Obama, for 5 years, is simply carrying on the Bush legacy. Obama has had the chance to leave his footprint on both foreign policy and domestic policy, DSouza says. One of your theses in the book is that oh, were giving so much aid to the rest of the world that were downsizing America, Cenk says. [But] weve spent an incredibly small amount of money in foreign aid, and most of it goes to the countries weve invaded. (Part 2 of 2)Part 1

(40,416 posts)1. I wish I had BW for video. But I know about D'Souza.
He is a very articulate and educated Christian apologist. He nearly always quotes science, although he nearly always gets it wrong. He is also a creationist, although he is circumspect about time. (He talks about the Big Bang all the time, so I presume he is old earth creationist.)
Like all apologists, he begs the question, presuming the existence of god when he argues for existence. In 2009, Christopher Hitchens took him on in a debate, which is available on MP3. (Use the Google.) Entertaining, and gives people exposure to his arguments.

(27,630 posts)3. That was sort of a tough interview
How does one refute talking points and lies when they are stacked up so chock-full, without interrupting the opponent? That was too much interrupting and talking-over, in my opinion.
