9.9 is closer though in my booming city its probably closer to 20% using the rationale of this article.

or, rather, the 0.1% is relevant for me is because the 9.9% are not the people who are buying our government - not the way the 0.1% are. I'm definitely part of the 9.9% as are all of my extended family (some are closer to the 0.1% than others) but none of us have the kind of ready money to act like the Koch brother or others like them.

they pretty much run things in their favor. In TN the ruling class doesn't need the Kochs to dominate the political process. Even though Senate candidate Phil Bredesen is one of the 1%, he proved he was for lifting up people into the middle class. I am very hopeful he can win.
