That is exactly what Hugo Chavez did in Venezuela, what other dictators have done, slowly but surely.

I predicted that he, and his co-host from the GOP, will soon start trying to make amendments to the consitution, all to help them stay in power of course...Tune in, it is coming, unless we all do our part to take them out of office soon.

Chavez was a dictator??? Only in America.

Hugo Chavez (not Maduro) enjoyed overwhelming popular elections.
During his tenure poverty was reduced significantly.
Health care was made universally available to all.

All it takes is 2/3 of State legislatures being controlled by Republicans to call for a Constitutional Convention, and the Koch Brothers are bank-rolling this effort.

10. Thanks...I guess I was thinking of getting a constitutional amendment approved...

I remember somewhat that the equal rights amendment needed a 2/3rds approval by all states to be passed, I think, to become an amendment?

I do seem to remember a 2/3 of state legislatures to be called (don't recall where at), but can't remember where the verbiage is at, so forth.
