There is going to be change there is nothing that can be done about that. How much it changes is something we might be able to do something about. The temp will catch up to the current CO2. Looking at graphs of ice core reading going back hundreds of thousands of years the highest CO2 is 350-360ppm and the temp/CO2 trend almost uniformly over the time frame so the current 400+ ppm of CO2 is new territory.
