(135,425 posts)He's a "cafeteria Catholic" who uses birth control, that's for sure. Otherwise, he'd have ten kids, not three.
I do like the fact that his "Catholic appeal" is marred by both this unseemly relationship AND his eagerness to throw the poor, sick, old and lame off the cliff. It completely negates the stance on reproductive issues that could help him with (a very few dumb hardasses) that demographic on the subject.

(9,350 posts)I am glad Lawrence O' Donnell showed the clips of Paul Ryan discussing how much he liked Ayn Rnad before he realized his support for Ayn Rand could make some people angry. Also someone needs to make an ad showing Ryan discussing how much he liked Ayn Rand's writing and then show clips of him claiming he hates her ideas. I think at the end of the ad it should say, if you cannot trust him to tell you his views how can you trust him as Vice President or President.

(8,636 posts)There was an interesting article on AlterNet a few weeks ago: Fifty Shades of Capitalism: Pain and Bondage in the Workplace. The opening paragraph is a great commentary on Ayn Rand's image:
Depicting the Bitch Goddess of the Free Market as a dominatrix may explain why her most famous fans are mostly male. We all could be saved a lot of grief if Ryan and company were to find their way to one of DC many dominatrices for a weekly session.
