34. What type of mental illness would be reported to the federal government?

Feb 2018

I have had clinical depression in the past. What would that do to me? I have never had a gun nor do I wish to have a gun. I have never harbored ideas about harming other people; I only wanted understanding and a little compassion. Would this reporting be limited to gun ownership? Would I be flagged for a traffic violation? How about getting a mortgage?
Would my most important civil right, voting, be taken away from me in the end? I can see how this mental health scanning could easily get out of hand.

for example, I think many conservatives are mentally ill and should have restraining orders to prevent them from buying guns.

It's a cop out when they make it about mental health. The problem is guns.

If the wave doesnt happen in November, and it can fail for only two reasons:

a. election interference/voter suppression

b. far left primarying sitting democrats

If the right stays in power, our lives will be in the gravest danger they have been in since December 7, 1941.

My question is why is Alyson (please forgive if I misspelled her name) so soft on this horrible woman? This "NRA spokeswoman" is horrible, what she said is horrible and she should not be treated with soft gloves, on the contrary, she should be held accountable for her speech, the horrible things she said, and her aggressiveness..."she wants to find solutions"??? Give me a break!

These media savvy spokepersons from the right have been trained to take advantage of a news media so used to assuming that a guest will behave like one, and always give them the benifit of the doubt. But like Lucy and Charlie Brown they get taken every time.

Frankly I don't know how they fight it either. they need a mute button. A guest like this just talks talks talks as long as they can get away with it droning on and repeating talking points, diverting the topic when they get cornered if they have to, but the main point is to keep talking and sound angry and determined. Forcing the host to have to interrupt, which also doesn't reflect well on the host. She comes off as a defensive whiner "no we didn't...noooo mommy we didn't" While Alyson looks stronger and stronger on the offensive, never backing down, never apologizing. In fact compounding and confusing the host by adding another accusation about her being called a 'child murderer'.

I could only stomach less than half of the video. America is on the precipice of losing its democracy, and if they can't figure out a way to combat these types of media castration tactics, along with all the other challenges, there's no hope.

The interviewer needs to establish rules to make sure they don't talk more than they have to, the worst part is that they go around on the same topic so they take time repeating the same bull.

Yeap, I could not stomach much of it either, I did not watch the entire video, and I agree with you on your last statement...well said.

14. Why aren't these question ever asked?

If the NRA can give millions of dollars to politicians, why can't they fund our healthcare?
or the healthcare of those that are victims of gun violence? Or their funerals?
Or the security and safety of our schools?
Or pay to the teachers?
Or pay to the physiologists that need to keep guns away from citizens that shouldn't own them?

Where the fuck is all of that money coming from? And why isn't that money helping our citizens that don't own guns and are victims? Do they only support gun owners?

And another question I would have asked is where do they get their membership numbers?
We already know that if you buy a gun, you are entered into a database. Just because you're a gun owner, doesn't make you a member of the NRA, just because they sent you a membership card! We want to know their exact membership numbers.

all else is fluff.

They are losing some of their business partners who offer discounts for NRA memberships. It makes headlines. Their membership is also dwindling as they become increasingly extreme and alienate people.

Disgusting. Yes....the media is complicit in the taking down of America. Allowing this lunatic NRA whore shoot her nonsense REPEATEDLY, and for as long as this disgusting interview lasted....CNN is inept and an accomplice in destroying the debate on gun control.

This was the most destructive interview to rational dialogue that I have ever witnessed..and this clown anchor just let this salty biotch get away with talking over her, rambling forever with all the talking points of the NRA...and NEVER lifted a finger to shut her the hell up.

Disgusting. This is why I absolutely abhor CNN. They are as useful as a three legged second thumb on each hand. Pitiful exhibition of inadequate debate.
