I never missed it. It was "must watch" TV in the late 60s early 70s. This is where I was first exposed to comedians like Richard Pryor, Lily Tomlin, Arte Johnson, Gary Owens etc. Great humor, and they weren't scared to poke that "fickle finger" into the ribs of anyone!

Watched it, recorded it on a 3" home tape recorder and imitated Flip Wilson and others. Saw it on cable and it didn't age well. LOL. But some things were absolutely brilliant, this gun piece is superb. Come to think of it, maybe the early episodes were great but the ending episodes not so much? Kinda like when the Flintstones added an alien from the future named Gazoo.

they just run out of ideas. The writers get "mind cramps" and everything goes to hell. Most shows are like that. Even Happy Days, when Fonzie "jumped the shark".

Very late sixties. I'll be 70 in November. None of the other "milestone" birthdays bothered me, but 70 is sticking in my craw. It's the whole mortality thing I guess. Like Morrison said, "No one here gets out alive, right"?
