would be a futile exercise.

Is Kim Jong Un willing to give up his throne and dynastic rights to rule, giving North Koreans the right to vote?
Is the South willing to give up its standard of living, economic opportunities and democratic rights?
There is just no middle ground here.

In fact, I believe that Kim's plan is that with reunification he rules both North and South. See -- no compromises available to resolve the division between North and South. That doesn't mean that they have to have weapons pointed at each other, but they should be realistic about the situation. Trading partners, perhaps. Anything else would not work. JMHO.

this is FAR more creepy. They have no choice in how they conduct their lives.
