Great story about a boy in a working class family who wants to be a ballet dancer. His father is very unhappy bbut the boy is determined to go to ballet school and become a classical dancer. Here is the last scene:

His father comes to see him all grown and performing in "Swan Lake". and he has tear in his eyes watching his son perform so beautifully...

It just warms the heart. Plus, that thrilling scene of Billy in costume leaping so beautifully to that gorgeous music is a real thrill...

There is a heartwarming story about how it inspired a young man on IMDB

In 2012, an article in London's Evening Standard covered a 19-year-old dancer, Liam Mower, who had come full-circle as a result of this movie. When Mower saw the film as a small child, it inspired him to become a dancer - specifically to aspire to a role in the New Adventures Dance Company's all-male production of Swan Lake, which is the ballet that the adult Billy performs in at the end of the movie Billy Elliot. While still a child, Mower then played the role of Billy Elliot in the London production of the stage musical adaptation of Billy Elliot. And then, at 19, Mower joined the New Adventures company, where (as of 2015) he has danced in ballets including Nutcracker!, Sleeping Beauty, Edward Scissorhands, and Swan Lake. Mower also went back to the London stage musical to play the dream ballet's "Adult Billy" in Billy Elliot the Musical Live (2014).

"Billy Elliot" is a terrific story with great drama, acting and incredible dancing!

The Broadway musical, with music by Sir Elton John, is a pale reflection of the quality of this cinematic tour-de-force.

it's a Top Ten film for me. And it's more than a tear in his eyes -- his father gasps at that leap -- and I get choked up every damn time.
