I still can't believe that, when Trump claimed there were "some very good people" in the neo-nazi, neo-confederate protest, Carlson's monologue for his show that night was a 'defense' and 'justification' of slavery. He went on for ten minutes with a historical perspective of slavery, pointing out that the Greeks and Romans used to have slaves of their own race, and therefore slavery wasn't really an example of racial discrimination.
