The "warming" models are consistent with what is happening. There are still cold cycles during the process. And there still are frigid areas as the climate transforms. The wild swings of super cold are consistent. The cycles right now unleash these cold spells into areas and at times that are now not considered normal. Or they are aberrations to what previous records indicate.

We will have these cycles and at some point the climate will shift to warm and the cold will begin to disappear completely. At any time the plant could shift to a warm only cycle like what happened in the Permian era when there was no ice.

Look at "global warming" like the pirates rocking the ship in the movie "Pirates Of The Caribbean". It starts out slowing and tips right and left more violently until is capsizes. Our climate could be tipping like that. And once you go over it is too late.

We could be unknowingly shifting ourselves into a Permian era or more. Now Venus used to be a fairly mild planet, but something happened to shift it to what it is now.

Models indicate that the shift happening could still be years off. But then again, what if we flipped to intolerable temps. We are seeing super extreme temperatures in areas with less populations that are not widely reported on. As super temperatures bleed into more populated areas or become more common, then people will notice.

And the problem is that these extreme cold spells mislead people's perception about what is going on.
