My husband can’t walk distances and his wheelchair would have run out of juice—we just didn’t expect the turnout otherwise I’d of gotten a push chair —so he stayed at the beginning and updated me with the numbers of the crowd—I remember when we reached 150,000–I sang it out and much cheering ensued. It was the single most healing time after the election I’ve experienced

My Mom doesn't walk well but I have been to 11 marches at the same location during the past year and I know that if she wants to she can stay at the spot where the March begins and then comes back to the same spot to hear the speakers. A lot of people do this. She is a feminist and I think she deserves to be there. She was the only working mom in my neighborhood while I was growing up in the 60s and early 70s and it was not easy even though my Dad, sister and I supported her and worked hard too. She hit several glass ceilings during her career in the medical profession.
