It was the single most healing time after the election Ive experienced

(51,623 posts)My Mom doesn't walk well but I have been to 11 marches at the same location during the past year and I know that if she wants to she can stay at the spot where the March begins and then comes back to the same spot to hear the speakers. A lot of people do this. She is a feminist and I think she deserves to be there. She was the only working mom in my neighborhood while I was growing up in the 60s and early 70s and it was not easy even though my Dad, sister and I supported her and worked hard too. She hit several glass ceilings during her career in the medical profession.
