and somehow manage to pay tens of thousands in property taxes, you have a number of children (even then the child tax credit should offset), you have a very unique situation, or have a bunch of children.

Now, I agree there is plenty of junk in that tax plan that will "cost" us in the future, but most people won't understand that as long as they see some extra money in their paycheck.

toward folks making less than $50,000 or so. But at least you aren't paying more directly.

We can only guess what impact of increased deficit/debt, repeal of ACA mandate in 2019, etc., has. Probably won't be good.

401k and IRA contributions as well as Dispersal's. This must be those magic beans the Rethugs are talking about for all those Middle Class so called families. Case in point,only allowed to put in 24 hundred per year,were it used to be 64 hundred. Magical Family wealth increase==4 thousand dollars. You get it now? Bean Stalk Time!

So you will see more money in your paycheck. It doesn't mean you owe less at the end of the year. Ronnie Raygun used that trick too.
