their association with the confederate flag is very bad. Several years ago, they said they were going to stop using it as part of their shows, but that was more an economical decision than an ideological one. The only CD (remember those?) I have of theirs is the greatest hits, and I felt bad about buying it, but I wanted the music. I am able to disassociate their politics from most of the songs, and can program the CD player to skip others. Just as I can appreciate the words, “All men are created equal,” knowing they were written by a slave owner.
I grew up in the south and Sweet Home Alabama makes my skin crawl. Neil Young was right.
