(19,204 posts)that's the prevailing attitude of the vast majority of women in Alabama, but I've seen too many Alabama election results to believe it's true.
Texas likes to boast about it being, "like a whole other country". Take it from me, Texas is as bland as dishwater compared to Alabama. Alabama certainly IS "like a whole other country," and perhaps they're even from a "whole other universe". From what I've seen Alabamans believe their Republican politicians are infallible. Maybe even more so than their bible thumping preachers.
I'd really love to believe Moore's crimes will prevent him from infecting the U.S. Senate with his bat-shit-crazy religious stunts, and his 19th century views on law making. I sincerely doubt his "sex scandal" will hurt him at all with his constituents. Further, I think it might energize many people who were just going to stay home and not vote at all. This might actually make him a stronger candidate than before!
Please, 'Ladies of Alabama', prove me wrong. I've never wanted to be wrong about anything so badly in my life. PLEASE, 'Ladies of Alabama', make me apologize to everyone of you who ever had a man doubt your courage and determination. PLEASE?

(402 posts)The only good politician they've had in Alabama, at least in my lifetime, is Don Siegelman and they locked him up on some trumped up charge of corruption. Ironic, isn't it? The corrupt politicians go unpunished and the honest ones are left to rot in prison.
