(46,712 posts)Look at section 2:20 and listen. He has a freudian slip. He's talking about his opponent's husband? And he says, likewise they have a reduced, er, released their income taxes. Or something to that effect.
So, is it possible he's associating the fact that released income taxes will show he has a reduced rate?

However, that same year Romney is still agreeing to release his tax returns if Ted Kennedy, who is not his opponent this time, releases his.

(9,289 posts)What is a bald-faced lie, although one that can't be proven, is his claim that he had a change of heart and so now agrees with Kennedy about the importance of protecting one's privacy by not releasing taxes. It's amazing that he could make that claim with a straight face.
