(4,973 posts)I think it's funny we would be created with a brain capable of learning and then told to say ignorant. You would think Genesis was written by a TV preacher.

(3,011 posts)Christians acting like the Taliban isn't attractive. Ignorance isn't attractive. Self-righteousness isn't attractive. Zero concern for the poor, the disabled, the underprivileged isn't attractive. Christians who don't act remotely Christ-like turn off a lot of people.

(4,973 posts)Was there no data on whether those countries he was talking about forced their residents to identify with a religion? That's a pretty important distinction and the numbers should not be weighted in the same category.

(22,803 posts)It focused on the fact that Americans are becoming less religious. It also pointed out that the majority of the world is becoming more religious, which could prove problematic as we try to negotiate and discuss issues we all have to work on together as a global community.
