I was pretty screwed up. I was able to walk again and do mostly normal things but the real pain came as I got older and the compensation my right leg was doing for my left leg got painful and as my right leg got worse my left leg ( the bad one ) started to compensate for my right leg. My poor legs could not decide which one needed to limp. I was on my way to becoming bed ridden because at the time they would not give me knee replacements until I was 65. I was in constant excruciating pain and the only two things that worked was morphine and cannabis. Since you can not get morphine easily I went to a doctor who could prescribe medical cannabis. My life was much better. About 2 years ago ( a little more than that ) Obamacare intertwined with Medicare and the rules were different and I got two knee replacements in 2014 ( I was 47. ) I used cannabis during the healing process also but I stopped after my knees no longer hurt at all. If I had not had that cannabis for my pain while waiting until I could get knee replacements I would probably been bed ridden by now. Cannabis saved my life in some ways. Cannabis needs to be legal all the way around.

There is one thing about the talk of cannabis that bothers me. When people call it weed it sounds negative and unfortunately that word is associated with stoners and that word in itself is negative. I prefer to use "cannabis" as that is talking about the plant by it's actual name and sounds more professional. Yes, I do realize that the name is a bit longer but cannabis still is most of it's proper name. I say marijuana sometimes but unfortunately people connect that with drug dealers which is another negative. Also notice when people who are against it and write about it they always call it weed because that is the negative name. I try to separate it from the negative as much as possible. Just saying.

both my gf and I used the word "Weed" ... and its all over social medica, especially twitter, where I have many "Weed" friends. Funny how it has so many names, like Pot, Ganja, Joints, MaryJane... I guess back in the day, the terminology was to keep people guessing because it was Illegal.

People still believed "Reefer Madness" was a documentary....and not some ridiculous propaganda. Great response by the way, I also use medical Marijuana, for my various aliments under California law.

I would do if I was ever in a situation where I was in extreme or chronic pain. I smoked pot a bit in high school and college, but never really got into it. I just didn't like smoking it - it always burned my throat - but it's good to know that there are other forms of administering the active ingredients.

it won't burn and you actually get to taste the flavor of Cannabis ,.which varies from plant strain to strain. I have found some very tasty... its amazing how good it tastes.

The biggest problem, in my experience, is dosage. Unless you have a very consistent supply, there is some guesswork involved in at least the first batch of baking with each new bag of raw material.

This is ameliorated quite a bit by purchasing them RTE from a "compassion club" or whatever dispensaries are called where you are.

In case you are unfamiliar with the process, eating the product doesn't hit as hard or as fast as smoking it. That's a big plus for many people.
