1. The power of hurricane Maria revealed

The immense power of this hurricane is obvious from this excellent video account. I have been through two hurricanes (with the eyes going over my house; one a category 2 and the other a category 1), super-storm Sandy, and several tropical storms. None were anywhere near as powerful as what is seen in this video. My heart goes out to all of our fellow citizens on Puerto Rico.

2. I recall the few hurricanes I experienced VA

were 2 and at most 3...and I was scared to death!

More when I owned my home than when I rented..

I didn't fear for my life, but for my roof...what a difference a category 4 or 5 makes!
