the medical costs for this week in Las Vegas ... anyone attempt a tally?

Plus all the law enforcement personnel, the lost business ... not that a price tag can be placed on the tragic losses of life,
and lifelong emotional trauma for victims, their families, even the medical personnel and others present. These tragedies are
expensive to society in a tangible monetary way

capital officers there, while at venues other than airports, or train stations there no cops to protect the masses.
So the tax payers picked up the tab, and then he comes out with thoughts and prayers, while over on the other side of hypocritical fence the illustrious ( ) John Thune, from South Dakota says for us to "survive:" is to "get small" and this dolt makes $223,000 a year as the third in line of right wing BS republican party.

I just wonder if that idiot thinks that country citizens should walk around with Kevlar helmets and body armor 24/7, and if I can charge that to my Medicare plan, I think I will ask, the Social Security Administration that administers my Medicare if they will pay for the armor, as part of my deductible........I am pissed off that he would offer that, and the other one says to have thoughts and prayers...................nothing about protecting the population, no f*cking empathy what so ever, except "small" and" thoughts and prayers"...............

In fact think I will call Thune and ask him about the body armor if that will make small enough from wack jobs, he really should get an ear full from the public on those comments, until he retracts that BS statement

As long as society continues to grant undue deference and respect to the practice of silently praising an invisible friend and asking for blessing and favors in the process, this is not going to ever end.

Thoughts? OK, though I doubt the veracity of these politicians thinking about ANYTHING beyond the next fundraiser and donor ass to kiss...

Prayers? Stop the pandering...99% of politicians are as amoral as they come on many levels and their overt "Christianity" is nothing more than red meat for the sheeple who think that this delusional "belief" somehow makes one qualified for office whereas someone honestly espousing the inverse is ostracized and cast asunder.

There is no room or need for the god hypothesis in public life or public service. Period.
Allowing jag off pols to wrap themselves in comfort of the idiotic support of the non-thinkers is never going away...

The good news is those prayers can be answered -- if we actually take action to ensure this doesn't keep happening again. And again. And again. And again. And again. And again. And again. And again. And again. And again. And again. And again. And again. And again. And again. And again.

Without action you might as well flush those prayers down the toilet -- or send them to the NRA which likely helped bankroll your political career in the first place.

Oct 2017

1. The we'll pray for them crowd has no connection to God. God must see them like the little boy who cried wolf.
or

2. God sent a message directly to Scalise and he has chosen to ignore it.

Praying is a nice thought or jester if you personally know the victim.... but in this situation it's a cowards way to avoid their responsibility.

Congress members have a responsibility and the power to protect the American people from terrorist attacks. 58 dead and 500+ injured. IS A TERRORIST ATTACK.

all we hear about are the number that died. The media then says x-number were injured. They don't go into how many of those who survived will never walk again, who lost an arm; a hand; a foot; a leg; will eat through a tube the rest of their life; plus those who will have lifelong mental problems.

Guns are fucked up.

won't get lifetime follow up treatment.

That's why there will be a big class action lawsuit...against the hotel. Not against the guns manufacturers.

Las Vegas hotels are known for their security standards, but staying in a hotel also implies a sense of privacy for the guest. Is there a way the hotel could have prevented this? doubtful but now millions of vacationers will be treated like the real criinals by waiting in long lines to go through metal detectors and have their luggage surveyed.

While his condition may have been exacerbated as he received top-notch care during his Golden Hour* and beyond, it’s now abundantly clear that his cognitive impairment was a pre-existing condition.

Fortunately for him, many Congress members have found one Cadillac-like health care plan or another that covers these so-called public servants extensively (and expensively). Yes, I know: they’re supposed to enroll in ACA plans like us poor slobs, but that’s a cruel delusion.

The rest of us — thanks to him and his ilk — are not so fortunate. Many of us are trying to get by on a Ford Pinto plan, one which explodes on impact.

Me? I dread shopping for health insurance during the upcoming enrollment period, where it’s open season on my financial well-being. (Currently paying $700/month, much more than my mortgage).

So glad he’s recovering from his wounds!
